We introduced out new campaign idea of Wrath of the Righteous! It is a Pathfinder adventure path from 1st edition which we will be converting into Pathfinder 2nd Edition. While skulking through the infinite darkness, trying to find the way back to the city above, and keep everyone alive, the party come across a sneaking monster, looking for its next meal. That meal just happens to be Artura! As Artura and Horgus (aptly named Raul by the party) took up the rear, the monster sprung the trap, ensnaring Artura for a snack. Will the party be able to save Artura in time, and while the party tries to rescue Artura, will the other NPC's survive with the party away?

While in the underground, below the city, the party comes across a temple of Torag, the Dwarven creation god. Strange place for a temple?! While the party approches causiously, they enter, and discover what lies within. Some nasty undead had made this place their home, desecrating the once holy place. During the scuffle, Nell grabs a hold of the holy symbol of Torag to vanquish the foes, and the holy symbol glows with power, melting the face of the undead creature. But is that the end of it, or does something else happen, as the Unseen Forces trigger another Boss Encounter!?

After the undead rose to attack the party, in the scuffle, Nell picked up the Warhammer, the silver holy symbol of Torag, her chosen deity, it began to glow with divine might! She used that Warhammer to smite down the evil undead that corrupted Torag's temple. . . but the battle did not end there, as the Unseen Forces summoned the might of the one who controlled the undead in the temple, a currently unknown figure. That hidden hand summoned a mighty hellhound, but also, unknown to the party, the hammer began to influence Nell, and take over, and once the battle with the evil forces ended, then control over Nell did not cease, and now the party must face their former ally. Will the party help Nell take back control, or will Nell smite those she once called comrades?

While the party is trying to keep everyone alive, they tried to start off with some diplomacy to some of the unknown beings down below the city. But that turned out to be a mistake, as the creature set off an explosion, which not only nearly killed everyone and caved in the ceiling, but also split up the party during the cave in. Once everyone got their bearings, they tried to get out, and meet up with the other party members, all leading to an argument with two unknown parties. Will this spur off another exposition, will the party make it out with diplomacy, or maybe violence is the only thing the denizens of the down below understand?

After unburying themselves from the rubble from the explosion, the party is split between two groups. Henny, Connor, Anivia, and Horgus are on the high path, and Altura, Nell, Sortek, and Avashneil are on the low path. While they traverse the destructiuon to save themselves, and reconider back together, they notice two groups about to fight, and the party might be forced into picking sides. The party did choose sides, and what it appears to have happened is the flesh-warped creatures are actually descendants of members of the First Crusade! A crusade against the demons of Kenebres, forgotten generations ago, still fighting the good fight, but time this close to the Abyss has taken its toll on their bodies, mutating them into these amalgamations. Although frightening to look at, their resolve is still strong, but the other two humans down here were most likely members of a cult of Baphomet, a demon lord, disguised as worshipers of Iomedae. Luckily the party was able to rescue the members of the first crusade, and together helped each other to safety, and possibly to a way back out of this cavern, back to the surface.

The party, plus the NPC's Horgus, Aravashnial, and Anevia, and a few members of the nearly forgotten first crusade finally make it back to the First Crusade's stronghold, Nethelhome. Where the wounded are being tended to, and a respite, albeit a short one, is gained, while the party speaks with the current leader of the First Crusade, Called Chief Sull. While Chief Sull offers the first crusade's generosity, and safety, he also asks a favor, something the party wants very badly indeed. He wants the party to take back the first crusade's forward stronghold back from the crazed howlers, which also holds the key for the arty to get back to the surface, and to rescue any remnants of the city left after the attack!

The party finally making it to Nethelhome, a temporary safe haven for them to recuperate with the generosity of the remains of the First Crusade, and their leader Chief Sull, but the party come to find out that their task is not done, to make it out and back to the surface, they must face more challenges. They must retake the keep that once belonged to the First Crusade, but were driven out by the Howlers, members of the First Crusade driven mad by the strange energy emanating from the Abyss. They decide to take a more dangerous route, but that has potential to give them the element of surprise, taking an underwater path to a well inside the keep.

The party making the dangerous journey to the keep mostly unharmed, and now begins their assault.
